When a team needs to work on a document together, the process usually starts with creating accounts. Sign up, verify your email, invite members, set up permissions... You just wanted to write one document, but the setup alone takes over 10 minutes.

What Is LiveNote?
LiveNote is a real-time collaborative note app that starts with just a 6-digit code. No account creation, no complex setup - share the note code and anyone can join instantly.
Quick meeting notes, brainstorming sessions, project planning documents - whenever you need fast collaboration, LiveNote has you covered.
Key Features
Rich Text Editor (TipTap)
LiveNote comes with a TipTap-powered WYSIWYG editor. It feels as intuitive as a regular text editor.
- Text Formatting: Bold, Italic, Strikethrough
- Headings: H1, H2, H3 styles
- Lists: Bullet points and numbered lists
It's not a heavyweight document editor - just the features you actually need, nothing more.
Host & Guest Role System
LiveNote uses a Host and Guest role system.
- Host: Creates the note, edits title and content, manages guest permissions, can delete the note
- Guest: Joins the note, can edit content when the host grants permission
The host can grant or revoke editing permission for guests in real time, giving you full control over who can make changes and when.
Password Protection
When creating a note, you set a host password and a guest password separately. Even if someone knows the note code, they can't access it without the correct password.
Real-Time Sync (Supabase Realtime)
When someone makes an edit, it appears on every participant's screen instantly. Powered by Supabase Realtime, LiveNote delivers a true real-time collaboration experience.
A connection status indicator at the top of the screen shows your sync status, along with the auto-save state.
Live Participant List
The sidebar shows everyone currently in the note in real time. You can see each person's nickname, role (Host or Guest), and online/offline status.
Hosts can toggle editing permissions for each guest directly from the participant list.
Recent Notes & Search
The home screen displays your recently accessed notes. You can search by note code or title to quickly find notes you've worked on before.
How to Use LiveNote
1. Create a Note
Click "Create New Note" on the home screen. Enter a note title, a 4-digit host password, and a 4-digit guest password. A 6-digit note code is automatically generated.
2. Invite Your Team
Share the note code and guest password with your teammates. Text message, email, Slack, Discord - any channel works.
3. Start Collaborating in Real Time
Once your teammates enter the note code and password, they're in. As the host, you can grant or revoke editing permissions for guests as needed.
When a guest requests editing access, the host receives a notification and can approve or deny it.
4. Auto-Save
Everything is saved automatically as you type. You can check the save status and last saved time at the top of the screen.
